Last October, Dr. Bertrand Routy won the 2021 Gairdner Early Career Investigator Award for his research linking the gut microbiota to the response to immunotherapies in cancer. This award allowed him to be one of the invited speakers to present his research at the multi-event Gairdner Science Week.

Dr. Routy is also the recipient of the Young Investigator Award (prix du Jeune chercheur) from the Department of Medicine of the Université de Montréal for the quality of his research contribution. This award, accompanied by a grant, recognizes the excellence of the researcher’s research project.

This prolific scientist also won the 2021 Award Of Excellence ‒ Young Researcher awarded by the Centre de recherche du CHUM (CRCHUM) for all his discoveries on the microbiome.

Congratulations Dr. Routy for these accomplishments!
