Our research member, Dr. David Roberge, participated in a TVA Nouvelles report explaining the use of a helmet equipped with electric fields, complementary to conventional chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatments, to fight brain tumors, newly approved by Health Canada.
This report tells the story of Dr. Roberge’s patient, Ms. Maud Rebeyrol, who, following two surgeries to remove a brain tumor, has been using the helmet for several years, after a clinical trial in the United States.
Several other Quebec patients could now benefit from this medical breakthrough now approved by Health Canada.
