The Montreal Cancer Institute is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Gerardo Ferbeyre as the head of the Cancer axis at the CRCHUM, effective May 1, 2024. In assuming this role, Mr. Ferbeyre will also serve as the Scientific Director of the Montreal Cancer Institute.

As a tenured professor in the Department of Biochemistry at the University of Montreal, Mr. Ferbeyre has been a regular researcher at the CRCHUM since June 2018, and previously served as co-director of the University Research Group on Medicines (GRUM) from 2012 to 2021. Since 2019, he has also been responsible for graduate studies within the Department of Biochemistry.
Mr. Gerardo Ferbeyre’s laboratory at the CRCHUM is renowned for its excellence in aging research and its impact in the field of cancer. With over thirty years of experience in academic research, Mr. Ferbeyre now aspires to actively contribute to the development of his axis, fostering collaboration with other axes at the CRCHUM.
